World Languages and Cultures 300 was a preparation class for my in major courses and for capstone. I took this course in fall of 2013 with Professors Donaldo Urioste and Yoshiko Saito-Abbott. During this course we learned about what we should expect to learn in the upcoming semesters in order to achieve our B.A. in Spanish or Japanese. We got the information about the MLOs and how to complete them. We also discussed our final project, or capstone and how we were going to prepare for that. I developed my first Individual Learning Plan with Professor Donaldo Urioste. This helped me figure out what courses I had already taken while abroad that counted toward my major and also what classes I still needed to take to complete my degree. We also got the opportunity to hear about different job opportunities that would come along with this major, including but not limited to grad school and teaching programs. We wrote our personal statement and a resume to prepare for life after we graduate. There was also information given about studying abroad, which I had already done, and also how to use our library as a database to do research on, and finally we discussed how to use Google Drive for surveys and we created our Weebly website
